Opal: Food+Body Wisdom is opening an outpatient Athlete Clinic in early 2020. The Physician/Doctor offering the services for the Athlete Clinic will be a part of a team of providers offering wrap around care for athletes--- with the support of sports nutrition, psychiatry, mental health, higher level of care for eating disorders, and more. We envision that the clients that the Physician/Doctor will see will not all have eating disorders but rather the work will lead to the prevention of eating disorders, early detection of eating disorders and provide support for those that are struggling with eating disorders. We anticipate sport injury will be the entry point for many that seek services at the Athlete Clinic.
