About Southern Illinois University Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship – Quincy
Assistant/Associate Sports Medicine Fellowship Director. Southern Illinois University School of Medicine seeks a board-certified family physician with a CAQ in sports medicine. The faculty member will join the Department of Family and Community Medicine as the assistant fellowship director in an accredited sports medicine program and will participate in a variety of teaching, clinical and scholarly activities. Clinical care and teaching of sports medicine fellow, residents and students will occur in sports medicine clinic, family medicine clinic, attending on the family medicine inpatient service and event coverage.
Professional Setting: The SIU Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and Quincy Family Medicine Residency Program is an unopposed, community program with a diverse patient population, located in Quincy, Illinois, which is 2 hours north of St. Louis. Separate musculoskeletal center houses fellowship and care of athletes at all levels.
Professional Responsibilities: Clinical care in the sports medicine clinic which includes teaching of fellow, residents and students, Inpatient services, and event coverage. Act as a consultant to the collegiate community on... matters concerning physical activity and preventative maintenance. Act as a liaison between the sports medicine staff and athletic department.
