Canyon Ranch physicians are experts in delivering medical care in an integrated, multidisciplinary setting with an emphasis in health promotion. The physician is responsible for providing exceptional medical care to Canyon Ranch homeowners and guests. Provides clinical assessment, diagnostic testing, and treatment recommendations with an emphasis on the use of lifestyle changes, diet, and exercise to promote health. The incumbent is a leader in their field and promotes the Canyon Ranch approach to health and wellness through guest and staff education.

Medical Services: You will provide direct medical services to Canyon Ranch guests. You will provide patient diagnosis and treatment aimed at alleviating or preventing illness and/or injury. Scope of work includes adult care, lifestyle and integrative medicine, non-operative sports medicine, preventive care, chronic illness and disease management, minor procedures, and all other areas of physical medicine and rehabilitation, family medicine or internal medicine. You will participate in interdepartmental medical consultation and education as requested and advise nursing staff of appropriate response to patient phone calls. You will also serve as liaison with the local medical community and initiate appropriate specialty referrals.

Documentation: Document medical care as required by medical legal and regional standards. Complete additional documentation necessary for data and billing department.

Guest Lectures/Education: Provide continuing medical education to health care providers and lay presentations to Canyon Ranch guests.

Service Development: Participate in medical research and innovation, including the development of medical services, protocols, procedures and management of patient care related activities.

Experience Required:

 

Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field).

 

Education Required:

Minimum Advanced degree PhD or MD Degree Required.

 

Required Certification/License:

• Current license or ability to get license to practice medicine in appropriate states or countries
• DEA License
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
