Position Information: WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with over 450 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. WakeMed is currently seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest and fellowship training in Sports Medicine to join our group in Raleigh, NC.
Established, hospital owned orthopaedic group is adding a full-time BC/BE orthopaedic sports medicine physician to manage a full range of sports injuries at our offices around Cary, NC. Candidates must have completed an accredited orthopaedic surgery residency program in addition to a sports medicine surgery fellowship and be board certified/eligible. General orthopaedic call is supported by orthopaedic physician assistants and is 1:6-7 at a level 2/3 hospital with even distribution of weekends and holidays. You'll have the opportunity to practice full scope of sports surgery, including arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, hip, and knee; knee reconstruction, shoulder replacement, and fracture care. You will have an ASC ownership opportunity and access to excellent referral sources. This growing practice currently includes 23 physicians, 35 APPs, an experienced staff, and seven office locations in greater Raleigh. Primary coverage at WakeMed Cary Hospital with access to two ambulatory surgery centers.
