Inpatient Physician Associates is seeking a full-time Board-Certified Sports Medicine Physician in the DFW metroplex. This physician would serve as a hospitalist to elective surgical/ orthopedic patients at select surgical hospitals along with possible collegiate and professional sports teams coverage. Hospitalist coverage involves rounding with, and supervising a nurse practitioner team who provides internal medicine/perioperative medical care. Coverage is week on/week off, 7a-7p and may involve coverage at more than one facility during the day. First call at night is taken by a separate night call team. Qualified candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting. IPA provides additional training resources and support for those who are interested and qualified but are new to perioperative medicine.

A Brief Snapshot of Your Duties
Work as a Hospitalist MD or DO at multiple inpatient facilities across DFW.
Obtain health histories, conduct physical examinations, provide patient care, patient/family education and discharge of patients from facility
Attend multi-disciplinary rounds at site
Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications.
