The Primary Sports Medicine Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York seeks to add an experienced physician to our growing and dynamic service, based in Northern New Jersey. The physician will be a member of the faculty of HSS Primary Sports Medicine and will collaborate with other physician and surgeon members at HSS. The physician will have an opportunity to work closely with experienced APPs as part of the HSS OrthoNow care team in New York City, providing same-day and next-day general orthopedic care for injuries and pain. APPs serve as the front line of evaluation and treatment, allowing you to focus on complex cases, procedure-based care, and guiding patient recovery plans - all within a dynamic and innovative care setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive sports medicine care to patients of all ages
Active role in the educational, academic, and administrative activities of Primary Sports Medicine
Participation in community outreach, injury prevention and return to sports programs
Participation in team and sport event coverage
The development of research projects, and collaboration in research is encouraged.
Compensation: Competitive package withbase salary and productivity bonus.
Current Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics
Completion of a Fellowship in Primary Sports Medicine
Current CAQ in Sports Medicine

Primary Sports Medicine Overview
The Primary Sports Medicine (PSM) Service is dedicated to treating injuries in athletes and active individuals of all levels, from elite to recreational. The members of the Service include nationally recognized leaders in clinical care and research. The PSM attending physicians have worked with professional, Olympic and collegiate teams including 7 New York area professional sports teams, as well as other national organizations such as the New York Road Runners. HSS is also designated as a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. HSS and the PSM service offer the latest innovations in clinical care, performance, imaging and rehabilitation.
