San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center (SDSM) is one of the oldest and most respected sports medicine centers in the U.S. With five locations across San Diego, our multidisciplinary practice offers a wide range of services including Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, Urgent Care, Executive Wellness, Physical Therapy, Premier Primary Care, and Firefighter Wellness.
We are currently hiring for two full-time physician positions:
Urgent Care / Primary Care Physician
We are seeking a board-certified Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine physician to join our dynamic Urgent Care team. This role includes flexible shift coverage with extended hours, including evenings and weekends, across our busy San Diego clinics.
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience in Urgent Care or Acute Care settings
MSK and Sports Medicine prowess
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Epic EHR
You will work alongside experienced providers across disciplines and support patients of all ages with a variety of urgent care needs.
Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician
We are seeking a board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients—from chronic disease management and women's medicine to musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.
Our sports medicine physicians serve as team doctors for professional, Olympic, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes. We also hold faculty positions and collaborate with UCSD and the US Navy/Camp Pendleton Sports Medicine Fellowship programs.
Ideal candidates will have:
A passion for whole person care, including chronic disease management and women’s health
Fellowship training in Sports Medicine
Experience with Epic EHR
Interest in teaching, mentorship, or community engagement
