The Student Health Care Center (SHCC) at the University of Florida (UF), a division of the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) within the College of Medicine, is seeking a full-time primary care sports medicine physician with a CAQ in Sports Medicine and skilled in MSK ultrasound. This non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position is responsible for delivering primary and musculoskeletal care to UF students and student-athletes in the Sports Medicine and Acute Care clinic within the UF SHCC. In addition, this position will join 4 other UF primary care sports medicine team physicians in the delivery of care to over 500 Gator athletes. Under the direction of the Director of the SHCC, this position functions independently within the scope of departmental and institutional policies and procedures and works collaboratively with the medical staff including Advanced Practice Providers and other staff physicians. The AAAHC-accredited SHCC is on campus in a new 46,000-square-foot state-of-the-art WELL building adjacent to multiple Gator athletic facilities. The center has in-house radiology, a lab, a pharmacy, physical therapy, and an ultrasound procedure room. Rank is commensurate with qualifications.

Clinical Duties: This position provides the following medical services: acute illness/injury, management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, and MSK ultrasound to UF students and student-athletes. Team physician coverage would include primarily football with opportunities to expand coverage if interested. Customary faculty duties such as telephone after-hours call and occasional weekend clinic coverage are shared amongst 20+ providers.

Educational Activities: This position will participate in educational activities related to the Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship and be responsible for the ultrasound curriculum. The fellowship accepts 2 sports fellows per year and has now graduated more than 30 fellows to date.
