The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician for the position of Medical Director of our Optimal Aging Center. The physician will have certification in Lifestyle Medicine and will be fellowship-trained in Primary Care Sports Medicine. Academic appointment at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine is mandatory. Responsibilities include: Medical Director of the Optimal Aging Center; providing direct patient care in an Optimal Aging Clinic and in a Sports Medicine Clinic; coverage of high school and collegiate athletics; active participation in Sports Medicine and Optimal Aging Research Groups; conducting lectures and precepting for residents and fellows. NYU Langone Health is one of the largest Academic Medical Centers in New York City.   

The Medical Director of the Optimal Aging Center will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for an interdisciplinary, multi-specialty program dedicated to promoting health span, disease prevention, wellness and quality of life across the aging continuum. This physician leader will develop and oversee innovative, patient-centered models of care integrating primary care sports medicine, lifestyle medicine, preventive health, musculoskeletal optimization, and performance-focused aging strategies. 

Candidate must have graduated from an accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship and be committed to enhancing our department's commitment to clinical care, research, and education.
